Cleanzine - the original Cleaning & Hygiene industry e-news

Read by industry professionals in 163 countries worldwide!

Many of Cleanzine’s readers will be familiar with that ‘Monday morning feeling’, (which can start to rear its ugly head from as early as Sunday afternoon) when people begin to dread the start of the working week.

Well I can’t help wondering whether the Romanian sewage worker who’s been filmed going about his work along with two co-workers who play a crucial supporting role, gets not only the ‘Monday morning feeling’ but the ‘Tuesday morning feeling’ and so on, throughout the week – and perhaps even on a Friday!

The video’s doing the rounds and can easily be found on YouTube, although the power of the viewer’s imagination is probably worse than the reality of this particular movie clip, as the ‘human pipe cleaner’, as he’s been dubbed, is hauled safely – feet first – from the narrow sewage pipes by his two colleagues using ropes. And he appears to be clean, dry and breathing.

I have one question. This is Europe. Where on earth are the ‘Health & Safety Police’?
