Impact Products acquires Rochester Midland Corporation's personal care business
Rochester Midland Corporation is to sell its feminine care, toilet seat cover and food service paper business to Impact Products, effective 1st July, 2016. RMC - manufacturer of the first Green Seal-certified janitorial cleaning product line in the world - says it is to focus its efforts on continuing to provide high-quality, environmentally preferable cleaning chemistry and programmes for its janitorial, institutional and odour-control customers in a wide variety of markets.
The 128-year-old privately held business, which has a subsidiary in Cwmfelinfach, Wales and sells its products in 70 countries, will focus on its core speciality chemical businesses, including commercial and industrial water treatment, food & beverage plant hygiene, commercial cleaning & housekeeping products, washroom hygiene and disaster restoration.
Brad Calkins and Kathy Lindahl, Co-CEOs state: "Over the past 30 years, our business has shifted toward service-oriented sustainable solutions for health, productivity and the environment. The sale of our toilet seat cover, feminine care and food service paper business will allow us to remain focused on the speciality chemical and related services business, while Impact products can best serve these businesses through their broad distribution network and extensive core product offering."

Impact Products is a supplier of branded and private label non-chemical commercial cleaning, maintenance, safety and related products. The company's offering encompasses a full suite of janitorial products including floor care products, waste receptacles, washroom accessories and safety products. Markets served by the company include commercial cleaning, industrial services, healthcare, government, schools, office buildings, hospitality and foodservice.
