Chem-Dry Carpet and Floor Cleaning wins 2018 Global Franchise Award
Chem-Dry Carpet and Floor Cleaning has received top honours in the 2018 Global Franchise Award competition, winning the 'Best House & Office Franchise' category. The awards showcase excellence in international franchising. Winners were announced at the 2018 International Franchise Association convention in Phoenix., US.
The recognition comes after a strong year of international growth for Chem-Dry, the world's largest carpet and floor-cleaning franchise.
The brand's 30-year history of global expansion includes master franchise agreements in Southeast Asia, Europe and the Caribbean, as well as Africa, where Morocco recently joined Egypt, Angola, Libya, Tanzania, Ghana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, South Africa and Botswana.
In addition to carpet cleaning through its revolutionary Hot Carbonating Extraction process, which is environmentally friendly, Chem-Dry provides tile and stone cleaning, granite countertop refreshing and leather and upholstery cleaning services.
"Chem-Dry continues to aggressively capture market share around the world," reveals Joseph Manuszak, vice president of international development. "This recognition showcases industry awareness of how Chem-Dry's business model works in more than 50 countries, creating opportunity for local entrepreneurs in regions with growing middle-class communities to operate and grow a successful small business.
"Chem-Dry's growth in Africa alone is testament to how the brand can operate successfully in different economic and cultural climates."
Global Franchise Award entries were judged on the following criteria: global intentions; the relationship between franchisor and franchisee; how the brand is marketed; and the extent to which the brand advances the cause of international franchising. A scoring system was used to create a shortlist, which was then reviewed by a panel of judges made up of global franchising experts to determine the winners.
This is the latest recognition for Chem-Dry, an award-winning franchise with decades of success around the world; Chem-Dry was awarded the President's E Award from the US Department of Commerce in 2017. Both Chem-Dry, and N-Hance Wood Refinishing - an innovative, affordable cabinet and floor refinishing service, are owned by Harris Research.
Chem-Dry and N-Hance continue to enter new markets where their Master Franchise model creates opportunity for local entrepreneurs. Both brands can be found from southeast Asia to the Caribbean, and both are currently targeting eastern Europe, South America and central Africa, for future growth.
