I'm in the industry and I didn't know that. At the start of our conversation, she didn't seem to know it either. What hope is there then for people who have little knowledge of recycling?

I suggested that more thought should have been put into the information on the leaflets before the go-ahead had been given to print them. I said I was concerned that people would now be confused about what to do, which would lead to either contaminated loads or perhaps newspapers being thrown away with general waste, resulting in extra waste going to landfill and the subsequent loss of revenue to the council. I left my telephone number and email address and asked for a callback. No-one, as yet, has contacted me but I'm not going to let it lie as my council taxes helped pay for those leaflets and I don't like my money being wasted.
