Sustainable floorcare costs less with 3M Scotch-Brite Surface Prep Pads
As the name behind Scotch-Brite Cleaning Solutions, one of the world's best known cleaning brands, 3M has a reputation for developing environmentally preferable solutions that outperform their conventional alternatives.
The latest addition to the company's floor care range is the 3M Scotch-Brite Surface Prep Pad - a premium quality floor stripping pad that strips and prepares a wide variety of floors without harmful chemicals, delivering improved sustainability and productivity at a total lower cost.
Suitable for use on wood, marble, terrazzo, vinyl, concrete and other protected surfaces, Scotch-Brite Surface Prep Pads are made from high quality synthetic fibre, coated with specialised abrasive particles for the rapid and smooth removal of floor finishes.
Unlike some traditional floor pads, which rely on the mixing and application of hazardous chemicals for their stripping action, Scotch-Brite Surface Prep Pads can be used with neutral detergent or water. But their benefits go beyond issues of safety and sustainability.
Tests have shown that the pads can typically remove one layer of protection for every 1 - 2 passes, dramatically reducing the time needed to strip a surface. Given that 90% of cleaning costs are tied up in human labour, their impact on performance and productivity can be dramatic. Customer trials reveal that stripping with the Scotch-Brite Surface Prep Pad versus conventional chemical stripping shows an average time saving of 3.93 man-hours per 1000 sq. ft., yielding a 74% reduction in labour costs.
3M Scotch-Brite Surface Prep Pads can be used with standard speed rotary floor machines, for partial or total stripping, leaving a homogenous surface ready for coating or final polishing.
