Bucking the trend: council commits to further public washroom refurbishment

* Bramshall-road-park.jpgEast Staffordshire Borough Council will be commencing a full refurbishment of the public toilets in Bramshall Park at the start of the New Year, as part of its ongoing commitment to provide improved facilities across the Borough.

"This is the third scheme we are undertaking as part of a three-year programme to refurbish all our public toilets and these works will significantly enhance the quality of the facility at Bramshall Park," reports Councillor Dennis Fletcher, Deputy Leader for Built Environment.

"We will be introducing higher quality materials which will both improve the appearance of the toilets and allow for easier cleaning. In addition, the new fixtures and fittings are more efficient and will deliver a reduction in our running costs.

"Whilst I acknowledge that there may be some inconvenience during the work, I am sure that this refurbishment will ultimately support one of Uttoxeter's most popular parks."

It is anticipated that the works will last for approximately 11 weeks during which time the toilets will be temporarily closed to enable the improvements to be made.
