CSSA to terminate its current role within the Building Futures Group

The Cleaning & Support Services Association is to terminate its role within the Building Futures Group - the organisation formed less than a year ago by the merging of Asset Skills, the Facilities Management Association and the CSSA itself.

A joint statement from the Chair of the CSSA and the Chair of The Building Futures Group, released yesterday, says:

"At its Extraordinary General Meeting held on Wednesday, December the 24th, 2014, members of the CSSA resolved to end the current merger process with the Building Futures Group. CSSA members wish to focus on the contract cleaning sector and are now considering their options.

The Building Futures Group will continue to focus on the Facilities Management sector but also support the wider cleaning sector."

Steve Davies, Chair, The Building Futures Group / Peter Goodliffe, Chair CSSA.

The Building Futures Group is a member of the British Cleaning Council - as the CSSA had been too for many years prior to the merger. Cleanzine contacted Peter Goodliffe yesterday to find out more about the changes and we are hoping to bring you further information in next week's issue.
