Worshipful Company of Environmental Cleaners installs new Master

* WCEC-New-Master.jpgThe Worshipful Company of Environmental Cleaners had just held its annual ceremony of Installation at Mansion House within the City of London.

Following the ancient traditions of the City Liveries, Timothy J. Doyle was installed as Master for the year ensuing along with the Installations of Phillip Morrish as Senior Warden and John Broadley as Junior Warden.

After the Installation, a banquet was held with guests including The Rt Hon The Lord Mayor Alan Yarrow and Sheriffs, Dr Andrew Parmley, Mrs Fiona Adler and their Consorts.

Additional guests included Dr Simon Archer - Master Worshipful Company of Armourers and Brasiers, Lt Col Paul Holder - Master Worshipful Company of Carmen, Lord Digby Jones and many leading figures from the Military and cleaning industry. Guests were entertained by The Band of The Honourable Artillery Company, Popchorus and members of Bella Soprano.

Established in 1986, The Worshipful Company of Environmental Cleaners is a highly relevant, modern Livery Company, supporting and preserving the ancient customs and traditions of The City whilst meeting the changing needs of a major 21st century industry. The Company aims to encourage and maintain high standards of practice and integrity while promoting and supporting education, training and research projects within the cleaning industry.

Membership of the Worshipful Company is made up of 200 senior managers, representing many of the major cleaning & support service management companies and the manufacturers and suppliers to the industry. HRH The Prince Phillip, Duke of Edinburgh is an Honorary Freeman of the Company.
The Worshipful Company of Environmental Cleaners is one of 110 Livery Companies which are based upon trades, industries and professions and carry on the ancient traditions of the Guilds and Livery Companies which started in the 12th century.

Livery Companies are governed by a Master, Wardens and a Court of Assistants, which is the Livery Company's governing body.
