Day one of Pulire ended in rather spectacular fashion yesterday evening. Heavy rain and lightning flashes accompanied the sounds of Eugenio Finardi and his band, who’d taken to the stage to round up the Stardust Party, following the presentation of the Pulire 2015 Innovation Awards. Sadly, what looked to have been a promising and fun night, was marred somewhat by the type of weather we’re used to in England but which we’ve not really experienced during our visits to Verona.

The organisers had clearly put a lot of thought and hard work into the party and we enjoyed ourselves until the weather forced us to flee. I could still hear the band when I reached my hotel room and had I not been quite so wet I might have returned to the exhibition halls to enjoy the rest of the performance, but common sense prevailed as I knew we’d have a busy day today too.

The show itself attracted lots of visitors but we’re expecting even more today as Day 2 always tends to be the busier than Day 1 for some reason. John and I will be spending some of the day, looking at the products that made the Innovation Awards finals to see what caught the judges’ attention, although we’re expecting to have to push our way through the crowds to be able to do so.
