CPD recognised by Deb and Office Depot

Hull-based cleaning & hygiene supplies specialist CPD has confirmed its position as one of the country’s top performers by picking up two important awards.

Just days after winning the coveted Vendor of the Year title from Office Depot, the company has also been acclaimed Elite Distributor of the Year by global occupational skin care specialist, Deb.

CPD’s Managing Director, Shaun Chatterton, described the double honour as among the most notable achievements in the company’s 20–year history.

“These awards represent the highest recognition we could possibly receive both as a supplier and a customer," he says.

"Office Depot, one of the world’s largest suppliers of office products with a global turnover of more than $18 billion, is one of our biggest customers and in 2007 our sales to the organisation topped the £10m mark for the first time.

“On the other hand, Deb is one of our largest suppliers and we are one of only 50 or so companies invited to be part of itsElite Distributor Network.”

Deb’s Managing Director Jeff Bell says: “All our Elite Distributors are independently owned companies and this is a prestigious award given annually to the independent distributor that in our opinion has grown its business with Deb more than any other.

“CPD is also one of the country’s forward-thinking cleaning supplies specialists and we are delighted to be able to give it Deb’s personal recognition of its continuing success.”

Office Depot’s UK general manager, Tony Bennett, says: In winning our Vendor of the Year, CPD demonstrated a consistently high level of service excellence that not only exceeded the agreed service level agreement but was also 'best in class' for its peer group.

CPD says it is the largest independent supplier of cleaning & hygiene products in the UK and that it has doubled its size in the past four years. It now employs 75 people at its Sutton Fields headquarters.

The company remains independently owned although its size and stability was enhanced even further when it recently became a plc.
