Cig-Arrete Hits 'Home Run' in America
Radal Technology, a global leader in the manufacture of cigarette smoke detection systems, has opened a new sales and distribution operation in the USA. Radal Technology USA, based in Hamilton, OH, has taken over all North American and Canadian operations from the parent company in the UK.

"The phenomenal success we have experienced in North America definitely requires us to have a local presence, primarily to assist our customers in terms of reduced purchasing costs and increased levels of service.

Radal USA will be managed by Gerry Sauber, President, with Mike and Tom Tracy responsible for Sales & Marketing. The team has over 45 years' combined experience in the washroom and facility services sectors. Mike Tracy, VP Sales & Marketing states: "We have achieved major successes in the schools environment in our local area, it is now time to recruit additional sales reps to cover the entire USA and Canada. The fact that we now have an operation here in the USA can only be good for our customers and our sales team, with more support available throughout the States".
Radal Technology is an innovative company which has developed a range of pioneering products. It believes it was the first company to devise a tobacco and drug smoke detection product and is now the global market leader in this area. Having worked with thousands of schools worldwide to help them conquer the growing problem of smoking in schools, the company went on to develop SpeechPOD - a speech messaging unit which has been used in schools to remind children to wash their hands. The pilot school used the pupil's voices on the unit - with fantastic success. This led to the inception of 'The Five Step programme to a Smoke Free School' and the 'Hands Up for Health' programme aimed at encouraging best practice in hand hygiene amongst younger children.
