Belfast's Martin Services, grows even bigger

Martin Services, the well-known independent distributor and supplier of hygiene and first aid products to the industrial and commercial markets, has announced a further acquisition: the distribution business of Hygiene Plus in Belfast has been acquired by its subsidiary Hilditch Martin Services.

Hilditch Martin Services, which is based in Belfast, supplies first aid, cleaning, hygiene and healthcare products to the commercial market. It is said to be the largest first aid supplier in Northern Ireland and it also exports to a number of markets.

Chris Warrick, Managing Director of Hygiene Plus, will act in a consultancy capacity for the foreseeable future, to assist with the integration of the distribution business of Hygiene Plus with the existing growing Hilditch Martin Services business in Northern Ireland. The existing manufacturing business of Hygiene Plus will continue to operate with the addition of newly developed products.

Commenting on the acquisition, Ian J. Martin, Chief Executive, said: “In line with our strategy of increasing our coverage of commercial and health care, we are delighted to add this well known business in our industry to the Martin Services Group.
