Asset Skills will outline its new qualification at series of free roadshows

Asset Skills has launched details of its Public Service Skills Framework in conjunction with ‘Get on at Work’, a series of Foundation Learning Tier qualifications, together with the dates and locations of a series of free roadshows .

This qualification is aimed at the wide range of support services staff: cleaners, caretakers, bin operatives, refuse workers, porters, security guards and workers in many other sectors. It offers a new and effective method of training public sector support staff in customer service and other skills and is suitable for both directly employed staff and those working for outsourced contractors.

The PSSF now incorporates the Get on at Work qualification framework, developed by unionlearn. This offers a flexible mix of bite-sized qualifications to develop personal and learning skills at Entry Level 3 and Level 1.

A new Level 2 qualification has also been developed as part of the PSSF called Skills for Supporting Public Services. This includes customer service training set within the context of the public sector.
