Sanipull – The ‘cleanable’ alternative to nylon pull cords
Radal Technology has been appointed exclusive distributor for Sanipull – the cleanable replacement ribbon pull system.
Widely used across Canada and the US in hospitals, care homes, and public buildings, Sanipull has proven effectiveness in providing a cleanable alternative to traditional nylon pull cords.
With the heightened awareness of cross-contamination these days, areas that people constantly touch are being carefully examined to evaluate the ability to clean and sanitise.
Research on common ‘touch points’ has identified pull cords to be of particular risk as many are made out of woven nylon which is notoriously difficult to clean and almost impossible to sanitise. Not only do they look dirty but they harbour pathogens and are a prime area where infection can spread as many hands touch them every day.
Sanipull provides a cleanable replacement compatible with all types of fittings. Made out of a high quality vinyl ribbon, it is a durable, smooth, cleanable replacement and meets the requirements of HTM 0803. Available in white, orange and red, Sanipull takes just 90 seconds to assemble and install.
“Sanipull is a simple yet cost-effective replacement for all pull cord applications," explains Brent Dunleavey, Radal Technology’s Managing Director. "The healthcare industry has tried a number of expensive methods to make traditional cords cleanable from adding an external sheath to replacing cords every two – three months. Sanipull additionally offers an anti-ligature safety option which cannot be matched by current nylon cords!”
Sanipulls are available pre-assembled and ready to attach to fixtures, or alternatively on a reel for customers with volume requirements.
