Four-into-one dose go - with new Quattroselect

QuattroSelect from JohnsonDiversey is a new highly efficient dilution system for building care that enables up to four cleaning products to be easily prepared in different dilutions at different speeds. Ideally suited for large sites with centralised management of cleaning operations, QuattroSelect complements JohnsonDiversey’s existing Exact and J-Flex concentrate platforms.

This means that for the first time customers have total flexibility to choose from a complete range of building care products in a concentrate platform that meets their specific requirements for the best possible cleaning consistency, performance and cost control from a single supplier.

The QuattroSelect cabinet can accommodate four concentrated products from an extensive range for hard surface, washroom and floor cleaning which makes it an ideal choice for building care operations. Each product can be dispensed in different dilution ratios for filling any combination of trigger spray bottles at low flow rates and buckets and cleaning machines such as scrubber driers at high flow rates. Predetermined amounts of product and water are mixed automatically to deliver 100 per cent accurate dilution into the chosen bottle, bucket or machine. This eliminates product wastage and promotes consistent cleaning performance because there is no under- or overdosing. The result is excellent cleaning results and complete control over cost-in-use.

Spray bottles are filled from a dispenser mounted in a recess in the front of the cabinet while buckets and cleaning machines are filled using “petrol pump” hose-and-gun attachments connected to the main unit. Cleaning productivity is further maximised because spray bottles, buckets and scrubber driers are filled at the optimum rate to reduce waiting times. The unit can be reconfigured for different products and dilution rates on-site without tools.

The newly designed ergonomic pouches used with QuattroSelect promote sustainability. For example, one pouch of floor cleaner can be used to prepare 1250 litres of ready-to-use floor cleaning solution. Like all concentrate systems QuattroSelect also reduces transportation and storage costs and chemical miles because water is added at the point of use rather than transported from the factory through the supply chain like products in ready-to-use and conventional bulk containers.

The pouch technology is believed to be the most environmentally-friendly on the market. Product waste is minimised because the pouches’ special V-shape profile ensures they empty completely during use. Each pouch utilises just 50g of EU-approved mixed plastics and contains product equivalent to two five-litre containers of standard concentrate or 167 standard trigger bottles. This means that each kilogram of QuattroSelect packaging contains the equivalent cleaning product to 7kg of conventional five litre concentrate containers and 246kg of ready to use trigger bottle containers. Ultimately this also means there is less packaging to dispose or recycle.

The pouches are much easier to lift and carry than conventional drums and five litre containers which avoids problems associated with manual handling. They also prevent users from coming into contact with neat product because the cap is sealed until the pouch is mounted properly inside the cabinet. This promotes safety and ensures compliance with relevant health and safety regulations. Moreover, the QuattroSelect doors can be fully locked ensuring total safety for operators.

JohnsonDiversey is a pioneer of dilution and dosing systems. True dilution systems control precisely the amounts of product and water being mixed to ensure 100 per cent accuracy of cleaning product in line with the manufacturer’s specifications. They provide complete consistency and prevent cleaning staff from altering the dilution of products. Dosing provides accurate control over the amount of product being dispensed, which helps to reduce wastage and costs, but do not offer the same levels of consistency because there is generally less control over the amounts of chemical being used.

QuattroSelect was developed after extensive consultation with customers and launched after detailed field trials at customer sites in six European countries. It is the final stage in JohnsonDiversey’s development of a complete range of dilution and dosing control systems for building care and is ideal for applications served by cleaning teams of seven or more people using three or more products. For medium sized applications, when one or two products are utilised or where decentralised management on dispersed sites is required, the J-Flex system offers the same dilution accuracy but offers portability because products can be prepared at any convenient water point. Applications which require control over product usage but where dilution control is impractical, for example because of lack of water connection, are best served by the Exact dosing system.

The launch of QuattroSelect means that JohnsonDiversey is the first supplier to offer customers total flexibility to choose from a complete range of building care products in a concentrate platform that meets their specific requirements.
