New urinal sleeve technology prevents blockages and nasty smells, while saving money
Most people say that your building's entrance area is your company's 'shop window', in as much as it can immediately influence the impression visitors have of the goods and services you provide. We on Cleanzine believe that however impressive your foyer may be, if your washrooms smell of uric acid and your urinals are blocked, then your image will suffer irreparably as a result.
A novel and environmentally-friendly new product from PHS Washrooms that heralds the latest generation in urinal sleeve technology, Eco-Shield is set to do away with the nasty problems of odours and blockages that are so commonplace in urinals and it should save time and money as a result.
Eco-Shield incorporates a novel new 'Shield' technology based on a one-way valve that allows liquids through but then prevents odours coming back. Not only does it prevent extraneous waste from entering pipes too, but it also has no extensions of its own that can fall off and cause blockages. It incorporates Nurazyme bio-block, the environmentally friendly bio-block that includes natural enzymes and friendly bacteria which 'consume' urine, thereby preventing the build up of uric salt, the main cause of blockages and odour.
Independently tested and proven to contain more active bugs than other urinal sleeve products on the market, the bio-degradable Nurazyme bio-block is reusable. This eliminates the need for wasteful disposal of the Eco-shield unit at each service, as it is just the Nurazyme bio-block that needs to be replaced to ensure continued performance.
Manufactured by PHS Washrooms, a leading provider of washroom products and services in the UK, Eco-Shield is designed to work with the company's other services and products including water management systems. Because Eco-Shield is so effective at dealing with odours and blockages, customers can make more efficient use of their water by using a PHS Water Management System alongside Eco-shield. The technology is also supported by PHS Washrooms' 24-7 priority service and Micrakleen urinal cleaner.
Commenting on the launch, PHS Washrooms MD Ian Osborne said: "We're absolutely delighted to once again be at the forefront of developments in the market. That we've been able to create something so unique and also meet our customers' needs for environmentally-friendly and competitively priced products is testament to the innovation that has gone into Eco-Shield."
PHS Washrooms is part of the PHS Group, which is made up of five operating divisions which offer a diverse portfolio of workplace products and services. The Group turns over around £270 million and employs over 3,000 people looking after some 250,000 locations throughout the UK.
