Speeded up graffiti removal

Spaldings, a leading supplier of replacement parts, PPE and equipment to local authorities and amenity buyers, has launched two new Graffiti Removal Kits.

Both kits come with everything needed to remove graffiti from porous and non-porous surfaces. The smaller pack is designed for anyone who might have a need to remove small to medium sized graffiti; the other larger pack is more orientated to the needs of the graffiti remediation professional.

The smaller kit, in a 10-litre pail and sealed lid, contains an environmentally friendly, biodegradable 500-ml Graffiti Remover trigger spray, specially formulated to remove all the most common types of paints and inks from glass, metal, plastic, brick, concrete and wood surfaces. In addition, to ensure safety in application and use, there are PVC gauntlets, a pair of Optima Pulsafe safety spectacles and a sponge scrubber.

The professional kit contains all the above plus a tub of 200 Graffiti Remover impregnated wipes, a 500-ml environmentally friendly 'Shadow Remover' trigger spray and two brushes. The Shadow Remover helps remove the difficult-to-shift 'ghosting' or 'shadow' effect often left behind on porous brickwork following removal of older or stubborn graffiti. Traditionally this has required acid etching of the surface to remove.

The simple-to-use and convenient tub of 200 Graffiti Removal wipes are also available as a separate product. The wipes are ideal for quickly cleaning small defaced areas such as telephone boxes, street signs and windows.

"The defacement of property and buildings is an eyesore, and removing it can be costly and time consuming," says Jonathan Rigby, Spaldings' Groundcare Marketing Manager. "With the choice of these two kits and the tub of wipes, we can offer our customers a choice of products to fit their needs at competitive prices."
