The Quattro Trolley - an innovation in mobile window cleaning
Mobile window cleaning systems using the Ionic Reach & Wash system have long been popular with cleaning companies. However, the need to regularly change resin filters and the costs associated with the downtime while doing so have made it a prohibitive exercise.
Once again, proving it listens to what people really want, Ionic Systems has come up with a solution to the problem. As the name suggests, the Quattro Trolley is made up of four filters on an easy-to-manoeuvre stainless steel trolley that connects directly to a tap.
It comprises:
* Carbon/sediment filter - a pre-filter which removes all the larger particles such as sand and grit
* Water softener - another pre-filter which removes calcium
* Reverse Osmosis filter - this removes most of the impurities
* DI filter - a final polishing filter to remove the small number of impurities left in water from the RO
"This product is different because until now, the only way to produce pure water economically on-site has been to use a unit that required electrical power," says MD Reuben Reynolds. "This is a significant disadvantage, as the areas needing to be cleaned are often well out of the reach of power outlets. This constraint often meant that an alternative, usually more dangerous method of cleaning was adopted - commonly work at height. Ionic systems developed the Quattro specifically to combat this problem, and it is the only RO trolley system available that does not require electrical power to operate.
"The Quattro trolley will open the way for pure-water cleaning to be used in many different situations that were previously impossible. For example, cleaning companies that currently contract-out their window cleaning will be able to bring this function in-house cost effectively. Similarly, building owners may use their own maintenance staff to perform the window cleaning function using the Quattro Trolley, thus saving the cost of hiring a contractor."
