Evolon - a revolution in microfibre

Microfibre technology at a competitive price and without the need for laundry - that’s what the Evolon 170 cloth from Vileda Professional promises. It’s a next generation product made from Microfilament microfibres that are six times finer than traditional microfibres and penetrate deeper into surfaces giving exceptional cleaning performance.

“Cleaning contractors want microfibre performance, but often the requirement to launder microfibres after use has limited the sites that contractors can use these products in,” says Steve Barber, Vileda Professional’s Regional Marketing Manager. “Evolon 170 meets market demand for a high performance cloth at a competitive price that doesn’t necessarily require laundry.”

The ‘endless fibre’ technology that produces the microfilament microfibres in Evolon 170 creates a light and - thanks to its isotropic construction - very strong product. In performance terms this delivers a cloth that’s durable, quick to dry and, if required, can be laundered up to 50 times. It has excellent absorption and – compared to traditional microfibres – even lower levels of linting.

Evolon 170 ticks green boxes too and has achieved the ISO 14001 international environmental management standard. No solvents are used in the manufacturing of microfilaments and when compared to traditional textile production, microfilaments require less water and fewer raw materials too. In fact all the water used during the entanglement process is recycled within the factory. And because the Evolon 170 is machine washable, there’s less waste heading for landfill sites.

“The Evolon 170 is priced very competitively” says Steve Barber. “But it sells itself on much more than price – it sells itself on performance too and sets a new industry benchmark.”
