New time & attendance software will help save companies money

It is estimated that an average of eight minutes per week is spent on chasing and manually processing time sheets and that there is a standard error factor of 3% for payroll departments that have to enter payroll details manually.  These costs all add up and using a time & attendance system can save a company up to 7% of their annual payroll.

Bromsgrove based Unique IQ has launched IQTimecard, a time & attendance system that uses a telephony server to log in and log out employees' time that eliminates the need for paper time sheets and also expensive based hardware.

This system has been developed by Unique IQ for clients who have remote workers and multiple locations and who can’t be in two places at once, to ensure employees are turning up for their work on time.

By using a free phone number the employees can clock in and clock out from any touch tone telephone in the office with their unique employee and location code.  As the system is web-based the employer can track the movements of its teams and be alerted by text message to any issues that arise, such as non-attendance by a member of the team.

For many small to medium sized businesses their biggest cost base will be their employees and in these harsh economic times they need to ensure that they are offering quality service to their customers... their employees will be required to play a big part in this.

Using a web-based time & attendance system ensures that managers are kept informed of clock-in and clock-out details and ensures that employees are turning up on time which leads to customers being kept happy with a good service.  Employees also benefit as they don’t have to fill in paperwork to send to the office and are paid accurately and on time.

The payroll system process is improved and streamlined and money is therefore being saved on a number of levels.  This can help small to medium sized businesses save money and keep control of costs and hopefully not have to add to the growing unemployed statistics.  Managers are happy at having saved money and can concentrate on running their businesses and let the systems manage the processes for them.
