Company cleans up with revival of beliefs

* Revival.jpgA Hampshire-based specialist industrial and construction cleaning company has staged a 'revival of beliefs' day for staff and their families. Cleaning Operations UK's founder and managing director Luzia Holloway used the lunchtime event - aimed at strengthening bonds between colleagues - to thank her 60-strong workforce for their efforts and update them on the latest company news.

"We like to take a step back to remind ourselves what we are in business for, what our core values are and what our outlook should be - but at a relaxed, family-style occasion," explains Luzia.

"In a sense, it is very much a 'renewal of vows' to each other, a chance to uphold our company and business beliefs and to recognise the dedication and commitment of every single colleague.

"I also thank the families of staff members for their understanding, because the nature of our work means there is often unexpected overtime at short notice with staff called away from home."

Held at Eastleigh's Concorde Club, the fifth annual revival of beliefs day enabled Luzia, who founded the Fareham-based company 16 years ago, to review the year and update staff on progress.

"We had a particularly testing 2016, but everyone has responded to the challenge and 2017 has been good to us," she says, adding that it had been 'exceptionally busy'. "We look forward to 2018 with renewed optimism and several big new contracts.

"I believe our diversity and flexibility has been the key to our success as we pioneer new levels of service, quality and customer support, not before seen in this market."

With more than 20 years' experience in specialist cleaning, extensively in the UK and US, Luzia is well known in the industry for attention to detail and innovative approaches.

Contracts undertaken this year include the newly-built Catherine House student accommodation complex in Portsmouth and the recently-opened Village Hotel Club Portsmouth at Lakeside.

Cleaning Operations UK provides rapid-response cleaning services to a host of businesses in the region, including builders, after builders, specialist floor, specialist window, restoration, daily and events cleaning.

The company works across many sectors, including retail, hotels, leisure centres, restaurants, offices, churches, hospitals, factories/warehouses, listed buildings, the motor trade and museums.
