Sodexo with Unilever win international FM award

* PFM-awards-Sodexo_Unilever.jpgSodexo won an international FM award in partnership with Unilever at the PFM Awards this month. The company, with Unilever, scooped the 'Partners in FM Corporate - International' category for the successful launch of Unilever's European Facilities Management Transformation.

Judges recognised the worldwide FM transformation programme for its creation of best-in-class workplaces that attract and retain the best talent, improve efficiency and reduce costs.

With Sodexo as principal FM provider, Unilever transformed its 800-strong, pan-European supply base into a strategic partnership, self-performing a wide range of integrated services across 68 sites in 14 countries.

Sodexo with Trade Interchange was a finalist at the awards in the Facilities Technology Innovation category for the implementation of a cloud-based supplier information management solution.

More than 600 industry peers attended the glitzy ceremony in the City of London, hosted by Sky Sunrise presenter Eamon Holmes.

Colin King, Sodexo global managing director for the Unilever account, said: "I am delighted that our partnership with Unilever has been recognised for the impact the European Facilities Management Transformation programme has had on the Unilever business on an international scale. This accolade acknowledges the hard work and commitment shown by both Unilever and Sodexo as strategic partners to make a transformational change in the delivery of FM services and winning the PFM award is extremely important to us given that our teams in the UK led the way in the delivery of this programme."

Ken Manke, Unilever VP workplace services, said: "We want and expect our partnerships to deliver value beyond cost reduction, service improvements and consistently high quality standards. We operate as one team, collaborating to deliver global workplace solutions with local relevance. We strive to be ahead of the business transformation and change curve, so there's a big focus of driving innovation and willingness to evolve with our partners, an approach we capture through joint business development plans."
