Idexx Water Division launches Quanti-Tray Sealer Plus
Idexx, the global specialist in rapid microbiological testing for water, has announced the European launch of a next-generation instrument that automates sample handling for bacterial enumeration. The new Quanti-Tray Sealer Plus provides increased productivity through improved functionality when compared to its predecessor.
The Quanti-Tray Sealer Plus is used with Quanti-Tray and Quanti-Tray 2000, in conjunction with Idexx's Colilert and Coliert-18 tests, Pseudalert and Enterolert, to quantify bacterial testing results for coliforms, E. coli, enterococci, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa respectively.
The new model warms up 80% faster than the current model, can process more trays without interruption and offers easy access for quick cleaning. It also features a new sleep mode, which allows customers to start testing sooner and also improves work flow by sealing each tray up to 20% faster.

Idexx Water provides water testing solutions that deliver easy, rapid, accurate and cost-effective information on water quality to laboratories and public utilities around the world, having entered the water testing market in 1993 with Colilert, now one of the most frequently used testing methods for the detection of coliforms and E. coli in water worldwide. More recently, Idexx launched Pseudalert for 24-hour detection of Pseudomonas aeruginosa in hospital water systems, pools, spas and bottled water. The Pseudalert Test detects P. aeruginosa quickly to help safeguard against infections in sensitive populations.
