Robots, apps and connected technology to star at ISSA/Interclean Amsterdam 2016

* Cleanfix_robot.jpgWith only weeks to go until the 26th edition of the ISSA/Interclean Amsterdam show opens its doors on 10th May, RAI Amsterdam has revealed more details on what to expect at the show.

The 2016 show will feature over 800 exhibitors from over 45 countries, showcasing their cleaning and hygiene products and solutions in a total floor area of approximately 60,000sq.m. RAI also reports that more live demonstrations are to be given across the show floor than ever before, including in the Outdoor Cleaning Show and High Pressure Demonstration Area where visitors will be encouraged to 'try-it-yourself' with many of the products on display.

In addition to this increased number of exhibition stands and ever closer interaction between exhibitor and visitor, the 2016 show promises visitors even greater opportunity for network gatherings and learning opportunities.

The new InnovationLAB will present, and act as the industry's first true focal point, for the rapidly developing fields of robotics, cleaning apps and connected cleaning with these four subjects currently among the very hottest topics and trends impacting the professional cleaning world.

Following a recent report by Markets and Markets that the cleaning robot market will be valued at US $2.50 billion per annum by 2020, much has been written about the way robotic technology is changing the market, as well as the effect that robots are having on the very way cleaning is undertaken, and how best to use them alongside human cleaning operatives. In the Robotics Arena, experts and exhibitors will be on hand to explain how robotics solutions actually work, what are optimal locations for the use of robots, and how interested visitors can prepare their organisations for robots so they add maximum value to the everyday cleaning operations.

Exhibitors already confirmed to be providing live product demonstrations of their robotic products in challenging test scenarios within the Robotics Arena include Sealed Air Diversey Care, Cleanfix and Adlatus.

Alongside the InnovationLAB is the Management & Mobility Solutions Pavilion. Such was the interest when this Pavilion was first introduced, at the 2014 edition of show, that the Management & Mobility Solutions has more than doubled in size for 2016 and now occupies this prime position on the show floor. Here visitors will find the latest information on apps, on-line monitoring tools, e-learning platforms and workflow management software from a range of international exhibitors.

As part of the show's comprehensive and engaging seminar programme, the InnovationLAB will also host a series of industry trend updates. These 15-minute rapid-fire presentations are designed to bring visitors quickly up to date with a range of industry trends and issues and will run from 12:00 to 14:30 on each of the four days of the show.

"Ever since its first edition in 1967, ISSA/Interclean Amsterdam has sought to break new ground and create an inspiring environment where pioneering products and revolutionary ideas are brought together for the whole world to see," says Rob den Hertog, exhibition director ISSA/Interclean Amsterdam.

"The InnovationLAB is the latest example of this philosophy and will offer unique and actionable insights into the disruptive innovation that the cleaning tech of today and tomorrow is bringing to our industry."
