Upcoming WFBSC congress programme finalised and available
The programme for the upcoming World Federation of Building Service Contractors congress - taking place later this year from 18th to 20th September and in Berlin for the first time - has been released by the German Federal Guild Association of the Cleaning Trade and Messe Berlin.
The congress will be opened by EU Commissioner Guenther Oettinger, while the proceedings will be opened by Federal Guild Master Thomas Dietrich, who has also presided as president of the WFBSC since April of last year.
Further distinguished opening speakers include Berlin Mayor Ramona Pop and European Federation of Cleaning Industries president Yvan Fieremans (pictured).
The Internet activist and former Wikileaks spokesman Daniel Domscheit-Berg will share his perspectives concerning the opportunities and risks involved in digital networking. Changing business strategies in the digital age will comprise part of his focus along with the challenges presented by Internet platforms and the impact of the Internet on facilites management service-related processes, management issues and general working conditions.
Thomas Dietrich will challenge participants from Germany and elsewhere to work together at the congress, toward finding answers to the questions their various enterprises pose concerning digitalisation. Among the topics addressed will be the consequences digitalisation will have on service processes and performance, the extent to which the significance of knowledge acquisition and usage of stored data will continue to develop, and the shape that working with clients might take in the future.
Two top-notch podium discussions led by esteemed practitioners from industrial, trade and service enterprises will address the implications of digitalisation for everyday business practices and the challenges the future presents.
The accompanying fringe events promise plenty networking and lively exchange. Together with Messe Berlin, the Federal Association of Guilds invites all participants to attend the opening ceremony at the Hotel InterContinental on 17th September, to take part in Premium Sponsors Night on 18th September following a boating excursion, to attend the Purus Innovation Awards ceremony at the CMS Evening on 19th September and to enjoy the crowning gala dinner at the Palais am Funkturm on 20th September.
For its accompanying person programme, the congress offers the flair of the two closely proximate state capital cities Berlin and Potsdam.
Registration for the congress at the preferential rate is still possible until 27th July, 2017: the fee is 1,200 Euros for congress participants and 550 Euros for accompanying persons. As of 28th July, 2017, the fees will be raised to the full price of 1,500 Euros and 600 Euros respectively.
