Two cleaning contract wins for Enfield Norse
Enfield Norse is celebrating two new cleaning contract wins: a new £10 million, purpose-built school in Enfield and a 660-pupil primary school.
The first - the newly built Orchardside School (see graphic), will provide facilities for the Secondary Tuition Service which currently operates across other sites in the borough.
Enfield Norse has won the contract to provide a range of cleaning services to the school, including daily cleans of staffrooms, classrooms, toilets and communal areas, as well as periodic deep cleans.
"This will be a flagship site for us within the borough, with up to 100 students using the facility," says Norse operations director Robert Trewick. "We are absolutely delighted to be working with such a prestigious new project and one that is to be part of a service is rated outstanding by Ofsted."
The three-year contract is worth around £90k to Enfield Norse.
The students who will attend Orchardside will benefit from a more personalised supportive educational setting outside of mainstream schools, with a broad curriculum and the opportunity for the students to take GCSEs.
The second contract win concerns the Prince of Wales school, a 660-pupil primary school in Enfield Lock, North East of the London Borough of Enfield.
Annual contract value is approximately £91k to Enfield Norse and covers the daily cleaning of classrooms, staffrooms, toilets and various communal areas, with periodic deep cleans.
Eight staff have transferred into Enfield Norse under Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) - TUPE - arrangements.
"This is the second major new business win for Enfield Norse in the last few weeks," adds Robert. "It is a clear indication of the company's reputation for competitiveness and quality in cleaning services."
Enfield Norse currently provides employment for approximately 550 cleaning staff in the North London area and is a major supplier of cleaning services to the education sector.
