RAS shares its in-depth knowledge with foreign professionals
After a series of training sessions conducted from August to September last year, which received acclaim from the Ascendas-Singbridge (ASB) senior management, the Restroom Association (Singapore) was invited to the ASB Forum in New Delhi on 21st March to share similar information about design, maintenance and education with other ASB professionals from countries such as Australia, China and India.
The professionals were provided with first-hand information on effective design that would influence better user behaviour and facilitate cleaning. Practical knowledge about assessing the performance of the cleaning service provider was also shared and this was followed by a session on the best ways to provide effective public education on showing kindness to cleaning attendants.
RAS was also approached by WaterAid in Bangladesh to host a study trip for its delegates from 21st to 22nd February. Apart from sharing similar information about design, maintenance and education, RAS also invited its partners to share about smart toilet technology and ended the two-day study trip with a site visit to star-rated Happy Toilets at Sentosa and The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands.
On 30th March, RAS president Tan Puay Hoon made a trip to Xi'an China to share information about Singapore's sanitation history and its success stories with visiting delegates at a summit organised by the World Toilet Organisation.
