Cleaning company goes for green

* Bio-P-Green.jpgCleaning chemicals manufacturer Bio-Productions has once again been recognised by The Green Organisation for its commitment to the environment.

Last week, the organisation awarded the Burgess Hill company a Certificate of Achievement for planting seven trees in June. This contributes to the impressive 114 trees the company has planted as part of the Green Earth Appeal and United Nations Billion Tree Campaign.

Trees are planted where the need is greatest, and the worldwide positive impact is significant. The benefits include food, fuel, shelter, wildlife habitat, absorbing carbon dioxide and much more.

Established in 1994, The Green Organisation is an independent, international, non-profit environment group dedicated to recognising and rewarding environmental best practice around the world. The organisation does this partially through organising The Green Apple Environment Award and the Green World Awards.

It is not the first time that Bio-Productions has been recognised by the organisation for its contribution to greater green practices. The company has also won three Green Apple Awards. This included being presented 'gold' in 2007 for its Biological Urinal Blocks and Biological Washroom Cleaner.

To top this, Angela Gill, managing director of Bio-productions, is joining the judging panel for this year's internationally-renowned awards initiative.

Together with a team of experts from a diverse range of industries, she will review and mark entries from around the globe. The Awards ceremony is being held at the House of Commons in November.

"Our company's long-term dedication to the environment will continue for the foreseeable future," says Angela. "We look forward to planting many more trees."
