Who assesses how effective you are?

* Loo-of-the-Year-Awards.jpgMany readers of this publication will be aware from attending the prestigious 2018 Awards Event, or reading the 2018 Loo of the Year Awards Results Brochure, that there were National and UK/Republic of Ireland winners from all market sectors.

These included first time and single-entry entrants and providers from small camping and caravan sites to town councils and cafes to major national companies and large local authorities.

Many small, national and international cleaning and facilities management companies enter each year and receive an independent assessment of their washroom provision and recognition for the high standard of their washroom provision. These opportunities continue in 2019.

Who assesses how clean and well maintained the premises that you own or those that you clean are? How do you benchmark your achievements against your competitors? Does your company and its cleaning staff receive recognition for a job well done? Entry into the annual Loo of the Year Awards is a way of receiving an independent assessment of 'away from home' toilet provision and recognition of the standards achieved based on 'the washroom standard' for the UK.

"Companies and institutions throughout the UK use their entries in the annual Loo of the Year Awards as a proven, cost-effective and independent annual assessment of the standard of their washroom provision management and receive proper recognition through our annual grading scheme," explains Mike Bone, the awards managing director. "Birmingham-based We Clean in 2015 and leading international FM provider ABM demonstrated in 2017 that a cleaning or FM services company can achieve the ultimate accolade by winning the overall Loo of the Year Awards Trophy."

For 2019 Loo of the Year Awards has introduced a new Diamond Award which will join the existing Silver, Gold and Platinum Loo of the Year Awards grades as the highest and most prestigious award available to washroom providers, their cleaners and maintainers. This award will supplement the Platinum award and focus on the highest standards of cleaning, special facilities for babies, children and those who need Changing Places or Space to Change toilet facilities - the provision of clean and well-maintained washroom facilities to meet all user's needs.

Entries are now being received for the 2019 Loo of the Year Awards - the annual competition to find the best places 'to go' in the UK, the Republic of Ireland, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man. There are a range of National and Overall awards and trophies for the very best entries which will be presented at the prestigious Awards Presentation Event to be held on Friday 6th December in Solihull.
