We have mail: Cleaning and Sanitising awkward objects and surfaces

* We-have-mail-from-video.jpgHi Jan and John,

As an avid reader of, advertiser in, and contributor to Cleanzine, I have noticed the call for help at the bottom of Jan's Leader editorial (28th May). There is a simple answer to all the problem items and surfaces mentioned for sanitising: steam cleaning.

Our range of Steam Cleaners, particularly our SC2000 range and our SC3000 if used properly, will guarantee santising to a log reduction of at least four – i.e. they will kill 99.99% of any bacteria or viruses present on any surface. Steam is extremely good at getting into difficult nooks and crannies very quickly and efficiently.

Spray disinfectants are very adversely affected by dirt being on a surface covering the pathogens that need to be killed. The beauty of steam is that it removes the dirt and thermally sanitises at the same time, thus leaving the surface both clean and sanitised.

With reference to wheelchairs, the largest wheelchair hire company in London - Wheel Freedom - has been using our steam cleaners for some six years now and I think it would be fair to say that it very much depends on steam to clean and sanitise every wheelchair and motability scooter in its fleet.

As for gym and sports equipment, the very same thing applies and we have many cleaning company customers out there who are very busy, at the moment, cleaning and sanitising gyms and sports facilities with our steam cleaners, ready for reopening.

If any of your readers needs any advice on the best way to clean and sanitise all the items mentioned in your Leader editorial, ask them to contact us and we can help them with over 50 years of steam cleaning and general cleaning experience.

Kind regards,

Chas
