University of Glasgow: Three-year cleaning contract ensures student health & safety
Students at the University of Glasgow can rest assured that safety is a top priority as the campus signs a new deal with Scotland-based cleaning service provider, Perfect Clean.
With a three-year contract, the cleaning works will ensure complete student safety across all living spaces, common areas and bathrooms, including entrance halls and staircases where footfall is high.
Perfect Clean is set to begin work on June 1st for the current 2020-2021 students returning to onsite accommodation.
The university is home to nearly 30,000 students, accommodating 3,500 across the University's onsite campus. Ranking 19th in the top Universities in the UK and 3rd in Scotland, it is natural for students to expect a high standard of living for their return to education as lockdown measures ease.
"We have been thrilled to sign this contract with the University of Glasgow," says Emilia Ferenc, managing director of Perfect Clean. "Working with the university to ensure the safest possible environment for both students and staff is the height of our priority.
"We want to create a better Scotland after all that has happened in the past 18 months during the coronavirus pandemic, and the best way we feel we can contribute is by offering our specialist services to the businesses and organisations that need us most.
"Companies have taken huge steps to ensure the safety of their staff and customers, just as we have at Perfect Clean. Our investment of £10,000 to our professional equipment means we have even more resources behind our specialism for our clients, including the use of fogging machines and steam vacuum cleaners.
We look forward to working with the University of Glasgow this year on its accommodation and communal areas across the campus."
