Ladies day at the races for CSSA Women's Group

* CSSA-Ladies-Day.jpgMembers of the Cleaning & Support Services Association’s Women's Group and their guests enjoyed a day at Pontefract Raceourse Ladies Day last month as part of the Association’s networking activities.

The day, organised by CSSA Women's Group Chair Lynn Webster, was well attended with additional tickets requested by guests and a second table leading to a second table filled.

The group enjoyed a full day of fixtures and were able to watch the races from a private balcony (which was fortunate as the weather soon took a turn and the rain came down hard and fast!) as part of the Dine & View package which offers smaller corporate groups the opportunity to dine in style in the Dalby Stand Private boxes.

As part of the package, CSSA guests enjoyed a delicious three-course meal followed by traditional afternoon tea complete with scones, cream and jams.

"A major benefit of being a member of the CSSA is networking events such as this,” explains Lynn. “Not only did our guests enjoy a fantastic day out, they were also able to conduct informal business meetings and make valuable new contacts in a fun and relaxed environment."

In attendance at the event were Joanne Robinson, managing director of Solution One Services, Charlotte Killis, sales & events manager at Killis and Daniel Cross, UK marketing manager at Tennant Company and also chair of the CSSA Marketing Executive.

"We are hosting more networking events for CSSA members and their guests in the future but it makes a real difference to host an event with a twist such as a day at the races,” adds Lynn. “The Ladies Day event was an absolute success and we are looking at offering even more tickets for the 2022 race day."

Following the recent virtual event, the CSSA Women's Group will also be hosting a live version of the wellbeing workshop on Wednesday 13th October and details can be found online.
