BCC's Sustainability Conference 2011: an update

Plans for the British Cleaning Council Conference 2011: 'Social Responsibility', which takes place on 11th October, have been moving on apace during Cleanzine's Summer break, with an important new speaker added to the line-up and the final sponsors having signed on the dotted line.

Latest addition to the impressive list of speakers is broadcaster and political commentator Daniel Finkelstein, who will be discussing his experiences at the heart of the coalition government. He will join:

- Norman Baker, Transport Secretary
- Guy Stallard, Director of Facilities, KPMG
- Jon Snow, Broadcaster and Journalist
- Peter Redfern, Chief Executive, EcoCampus
- Shabana Mahmood MP, Shadow Immigration Secretary
- Lawrence Waterman, Head of H&S, London 2012

Talley Environmental Care is the final organisation to confirm sponsorship for the event. The UK based antimicrobial technologies manufacturer has Environment Protection Agency approved antimicrobial technology manufacturing facilities at its Hampshire plant. The company's TECcare products are available nationally and internationally either through direct distribution or licensing agreements.

This sponsor joins already confirmed partners: Kimberly-Clark Professional, Selden Research, HSS Hire, the UKCPI, Activeion, Renault, Diversey and South Thames College.

The event, which is expected to attract 400 high-level delegates, will take place at Kings Place, an award-winning building in London's Kings Cross.
The conference programme has been designed to ensure delegates receive a uniquely broad, fresh and invaluable insight into the social responsibility issues that will define the modern business world.
There will also be 10 corporate sponsors located throughout the venue, offering networking and sales opportunities to delegates and offering new sustainability focused projects.

Delegate passes for the day are priced £150 (plus VAT).
