RAS partners with Ascendo Academy on a restroom inspection course
In its bid to equip premises managers and Environmental Control Coordinators with the essential knowledge regarding clean toilet standards, the Restroom Association (Singapore) partnered with the Ascendo Academy to offer a free course on washroom inspection in addition to the ECC course.
As required by Singapore's National Environment Agency, ECCs have to undergo training to oversee the implementation of the Environmental Sanitation Programme and this partnership will equip course participants with the skills they need to be able to assess toilet standards.
Upon ECC course completion, RAS will separately conduct the restroom inspection course for interested ECC course participants at no cost.
After the course, participants will be able to:
* Demonstrate understanding of washroom assessment
* Assess public toilets
* Submit results, feedback and recommendations
A comprehensive checklist, which was jointly developed by the National Environment Agency and RAS will be used during the course. Participants will receive an e-certificate of attendance after the course.
RAS conducted similar training, which also included washroom cleaning, for more than 400 coffee shop cleaning and supervising staff from September 2020 to March 2021.
