HSE releases latest health & safety statistics

* Health-and-safety-stats.jpgThe Health & Safety Executive's newly-released annual health & safety statistics report for 2022, has revealed that in Great Britain, 36.8 million working days were lost due to work-related illness and non-fatal workplace injury, 123 workers were killed in work-related accidents and 565,000 sustained an injury at work.

Further, 1.8 million are suffering from a work-related illness, of which 914,000 are suffering from stress, depression or anxiety, 477,000 are suffering from a musculoskeletal disorder and 123,000 are suffering from Covid-19 which they believe may have been from exposure to Coronavirus at work.

Some 13,000 deaths each year are estimated to be linked to past exposure at work, primarily to chemicals or dust.
