ISSA Pulire presents two competitions to animate three-day show in Milan

* Pulire-hackathon.jpgRegistrations are open for the two competitions that will take place during the 26th edition of ISSA Pulire:

' 'Product of the Year ISSA Pulire 2023' Award, now in its third edition, which will culminate with the awarding of the winner on 9th May
' 'Hackathon' - an absolute novelty for the show and one of the first competitions of this type dedicated to the cleaning sector. This competition will be held on 10th May

ISSA Pulire established the 'Product of the Year ISSA Pulire 2023" Award to recognise the research activity conducted by companies operating in the sector of professional cleaning, hygiene and environmental sanitation, safety, facilities management, disinfestation, laundry , services, lifting, car wash and logistics. It rewards the effectiveness of the products placed on the market and exhibited at the event.

Participation in this Award is reserved exclusively for companies participating in the ISSA Pulire 2023 event as exhibitors and co-exhibitors: they are companies, which produce machines, accessories, mechanical, electrical and electronic equipment, chemicals, paper, fibres, cloths, systems and services for professional cleaning.

Six key dates to keep in mind:

01.02.23 - Call for applications
30.03.23 - Deadline for submission
15.04.23 - Presentation of the products to the jury
15.04.23 - Online publication of the applicants
30.04.23 - Nomination voting
09.05.23 - Winners' award ceremony

All information and methods of participation are available in the General Rules.

Hackathon derives from the fusion of the words 'hacker' and 'marathon'; it is a competition in which different teams contend to find a solution to a given problem. For the first edition of the Hackathon, organised in collaboration with FDS, the problem to be answered will revolve around the theme 'Smart Facility: Cleaning Connected to the Future'.

The cleaning sector is undergoing transformation, and digitisation not only helps service providers improve the health & safety of buildings, but it also makes them the point of reference for implementing and achieving the buildings' owners ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) objectives. In essence, the teams will compete to demonstrate how cleaners, trained and equipped with digital tools, can contribute in achieving ESG objectives and bringing objectively measurable results.

University students from the IT, economics, engineering, management, environmental and design fields can apply for the competition. They will participate in teams of 3/6 people for a maximum of 10 working groups. The winning team, decreed by an international jury, will receive a prize of €3,000; the team that takes second place will receive €1,000.

The Hackathon will also be an opportunity for visibility for companies that want to participate and support the digital transformation in the professional cleaning and integrated services sectors. Indeed, it is possible for companies, whether they are exhibiting at ISSA Pulire 2023 or not, to become a sponsor of the Hackathon in the Diamond, Team and Supporter categories.
