Efficiency, security, and speed: Eureka’s mantra
Eureka tells us that three keywords have together formed a mantra, of sorts, for its investments over the last year: efficiency, security, and speed. “In effect, these are the very characteristics for which Eureka professional floor cleaning machines are famous all over the world,” says Eureka's IT Manager, Umberto Bonavita.
“But in this case, we are not talking about our machines, but about our ICT infrastructure.
"We have renewed our ICT architecture to accommodate the latest technological innovations, and guide our company towards ICT excellence.”
Eureka has invested in three areas: network infrastructure, the wi-fi network and internal management and monitoring architecture.
On the infrastructure level, Eureka can now boast, thanks to partnerships with Aruba and Huawei, an in-house fibre optic LAN that permits a data flow of over 20 GB between all areas of the company.
"In addition to data stability and speed, we have also improved security by ensuring business continuity even in the event of service outages, thanks to always-on redundancy systems," Umberto explains. "All the technology is now in place to permit future investments."
Eureka's wi-fi network has been improved by installing systems by Ubiquiti, one of the market leaders in corporate wi-fi, and by introducing support for 6 GHz WIFI 7, the latest standard for ultra-fast connections between all work spaces.
Finally, the manufacturer has expanded its ‘Business Data Continuity & Disaster Recovery’ architecture and, with the help of VEEAM (the global leader in this sector), we have introduced internal analysis and prevention policies to improve the security and reliability of its entire network.
"And we have done all this without any interruption to internal or external services," concludes Umberto.
“Efficiency, security and speed, as we were saying. If certain characteristics are in a company's DNA, they should be respected in every way, not just in machines, but in workspaces and investments in technology too.”
