First commercially available drier powered by heat pump

Miele chose CMS Berlin to present what it claims are the first commercially available driers powered by heat pumps.

The team explained that both models, with 250 and 325 litre drum capacity respectively, reduce power consumption by an impressive 60% and there is no need for a waste air extractor line. Operating at low temperatures, they can be used to gently dry both cotton and microfibre cloths.

The operating times of both driers are very fast: 10 kilograms of mops and cloths can be completely dried in just 44 minutes.

With a drum volume of 250 litres, the PT 8257 can take a load of between 10 and 13 kilograms, while the PT 8337 WP, which has a volume of 325 litres, has a capacity of between 13 and 16 kilograms.
