Evonik signs exclusive US distribution agreement with Sea-Land Chemical

Evonik has entered into an exclusive agreement with the Cleveland-based Sea-Land Chemical Company for the distribution of its cleaning solutions in the US. The agreement builds on a long-standing relationship with the distributor and expands the reach of Evonik's cleaning solutions to the entire US region.

Evonik provides the homecare, vehicle care and industrial and institutional cleaning markets with innovative cleaning solutions, many of which have a strong sustainability profile.

"We are delighted to build on our long-standing relationship with Sea-Land Chemical to bring game-changing and sustainable solutions to our US customers. The Care Solutions business at Evonik offers a comprehensive portfolio of solutions that meet the increasing demand for eco-friendly, high-performing cleaning and personal care products.

"In 2024, Evonik opened the first industrial-scale manufacturing facility for rhamnolipid biosurfactants. These biosurfactants offer high performance coupled with a superior sustainability profile because of their extremely low aqua toxicity and their biodegradability. Other sustainable cleaning solutions offered by Evonik include eco-friendly pet care and water-responsible cleaning products."

Sea-Land Chemical has been distributing Evonik's cleaning solutions to the eastern region of the US for many years. The company offers an extensive portfolio of specialty chemical additives for the lubricants, automotive care, agriculture, water treatment, and personal care markets.

Evonik is active in more than 100 countries around the world and generated sales of $15.2 billion and an operating profit (adjusted EBITDA - earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortizatio) of $2.1 billion in 2024.
