Horecava 2026 introduces new theme: 'Cleaning & Recycling'
The hospitality industry never stands still. Guests expect more comfort, better service, and a cleaner, more sustainable environment.
These high expectations translate behind the scenes into a growing demand for professional solutions in cleaning, hygiene and waste management. That's why Netherlands-based Horecava 2026 (January 12-15) is introducing a new theme area: Cleaning & Recycling.
This new segment will have a prominent location on the show floor in Hall 3, right next to the successful TrendLab and the theatre, which hosts daily inspirational programming. This is more than just an expansion of the trade show -I t's a logical and timely addition that reflects what's happening in the sector right now.
Hospitality: a growth market for cleaning professionals...
For companies active in professional cleaning and waste management, the hospitality sector offers enormous opportunities. Restaurants, hotels, cafés, holiday parks and fast-service businesses rely on delivering an optimal guest experience - and a clean, well-maintained environment is essential to that.
Whether it's proper waste separation, grease traps in kitchens, advanced floor cleaning systems, or smart hygiene solutions for washrooms - hospitality businesses are constantly looking for partners who can support and relieve them.
Hospitality is a demanding customer - but also a loyal one. A hotel that partners with a reliable hygiene provider is unlikely to switch. And when a solution proves effective, the volume often grows, or other locations follow. Sustainability is also playing an increasingly decisive role in purchasing decisions.
New theme: visible and strategically positioned...
The introduction of Cleaning & Recycling did not come out of nowhere. Horecava listened closely to both visitors and exhibitors and identified a clear need for more focus on hygiene, sustainability and circular solutions. The theme will be presented in a clearly defined, easily accessible space with a distinctive look and ample room for booths, demonstrations and networking.
Its location - directly next to the TrendLab and the theatre - is a deliberate choice.
"The TrendLab is the place where visitors come to see the future," says Tim van Tiel, senior sales consultant at Horecava. "The theatre program attracts a wide audience, including many facility managers, entrepreneurs and decision-makers. This naturally draws attention and traffic toward Cleaning & Recycling, giving the theme the visibility it deserves."
Meet decision-makers from hospitality and facilities management...
Horecava attracts more than 60,000 visitors annually from across the hospitality and foodservice industry - from chefs and entrepreneurs to buyers, managers and facilities professionals. With the addition of the Cleaning & Recycling theme, the event becomes even more appealing to suppliers and service providers focused on hygiene, cleaning and sustainable waste management.
This target audience is looking for solutions that not only clean but also relieve operational burdens. Think smart dispensers, connected hygiene products, eco-friendly cleaning agents, innovative car wash systems, or compact waste solutions for urban restaurants. Also in demand are strategic advice, chain collaborations, and long-term solutions.
By participating in Horecava 2026, suppliers can engage directly with the people responsible for the operational and sustainable performance of hospitality businesses.
Horecava: the place to make an impact...
Horecava has long been the leading trade show for professionals in food, beverages, and hospitality. It's where new products are launched, new connections are made and inspiration goes hand in hand with practical solutions.
With the new theme Cleaning & Recycling, the show gives a current and vital topic the space it deserves. Because cleaning is no longer a side issue-it's an essential part of operations, a quality indicator, and increasingly, a sustainability statement.
Exhibit at Cleaning & Recycling...
Companies active in cleaning, hygiene, or waste management that want to connect with hospitality entrepreneurs, facilities managers, or hospitality operators can now register to participate in the new Cleaning & Recycling theme.
Participants benefit from a strategic location, a strong content program, targeted marketing campaigns and access to a large and relevant audience. Horecava is the place where relationships start, demonstrations make an impact, and sustainable collaborations begin.
