Back for another bite: Lime wins another Green Apple Award!
Lime Sustainable Supplies has once again been recognised on the international stage, winning the Award for helping the environment, at the 2025 Green Apple Awards for Environmental Best Practice.
Competing against more than 1,000 nominations, Lime’s project: ‘Collaboratively working to deliver real CO2 savings’ impressed judges in the Service Industries sector and Carbon Reduction category, who recognised the measurable impact achieved through the company’s sustainability partnership with Breanheath and its client, Booking.com.
Together, the three introduced environmentally friendly cleaning products, analysed their impact through independent Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) and implemented data-driven monthly reporting to support continuous improvement. Through this system, Lime’s clients can make informed product decisions based on Scope 4 CO2 savings, single-use plastic reduction and measurable ESG outcomes - an approach that not only makes sustainability visible and actionable, but one that empowers clients to reduce impact at scale.
The Green Apple Award judges – speaking at the Awards ceremony held last month at the House of Lords, Palace of Westminster, praised the collaboration for turning sustainability ambition into meaningful progress, saying:
"This three-way collaboration turns ESG ambition into measurable progress: life-cycle-assessed products, visual reporting and reward schemes drive behaviour change. Results include major CO2 reductions, plastic elimination, and living-wage alignment across the extended supply chain. The programme's clarity and cadence enable confident decision-making, and its success is now being scaled to new customers for compounding environmental benefits."
Lime feels that their comments highlight what the company believes in wholeheartedly: that clear data, consistent reporting and aligned values can transform supply chains, saying:
“Winning a Green Apple Award for the second year running is more than a celebratory moment, it reaffirms our commitment to transparency, measurable sustainability and collaboration across the supply chain.
“This award belongs not only to Lime, but also to our partners Breanheath and Booking.com, whose shared commitment to reducing environmental impact has enabled this success.
“We are excited to continue expanding this collaborative model to other clients, helping more organisations track, measure, and reduce their carbon footprint using independent LCAs and transparent sustainability data.
“Our multi-award winning eco credentials are proof that at Lime Sustainable Supplies, we make it easy to choose sustainable cleaning products that are safe, effective, and kind to the planet, with full supply chain transparency at your fingertips. Whether you're just starting your sustainability journey or looking to deepen your commitment, we've got the solutions to help you clean better, naturally.
“Thank you to everyone who has supported this project, from our partners to the teams on the ground who've embraced new products, processes, and reporting tools. These results are proof that when every part of the supply chain works together, sustainability becomes achievable, scalable, and genuinely impactful.
“Here's to more progress, more collaboration, and even greater environmental benefits in the year ahead.”
The Green Apple Awards, established in 1994, are among the UK's most respected environmental recognitions. Being selected once is an achievement; being recognised again reflects the consistency and integrity of the work Award recipients deliver every day.
