Ramon Hygiene celebrates 75 years with staff past and present
Ramon Hygiene Products marked its 75th anniversary by bringing together colleagues from across its history for a special celebration at Winstanley House, Leicester.
Current employees were joined by former members of staff, many of whom played an important role in the company's journey over several decades. The evening provided an opportunity to reconnect with old friends, share memories and celebrate the people behind one of the UK's longest established manufacturers of professional cleaning products.
Founded in Leicester in 1951 as Ramon Knitting Company, the business has grown from a textile manufacturer into a leading UK producer and importer of professional cleaning consumables, supplying distributors throughout the UK and beyond.
Guests enjoyed a three-course meal before the celebrations continued late into the evening, with stories shared across generations and reflections on how the business has evolved over the past 75 years.
"Reaching 75 years is a fantastic milestone for Ramon, but this anniversary is really about the people who have made it possible,” says Stuart Walters, group managing director.
“We wanted to celebrate not only our current team but also the many former colleagues whose hard work, loyalty and commitment have helped shape the business we are today. It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces together again."
While the evening celebrated the company's heritage, it also marked the next chapter in Ramon's history. Following recent investment in UK manufacturing, the launch of the award-winning Trinity Socket system and closer alignment with the wider EGL Group, the business continues to invest in British manufacturing and product innovation as it looks to the future.
As Ramon enters its 76th year, the company remains committed to the values that have underpinned the business since 1951: manufacturing quality products in the UK, supporting its customers and investing in the people who continue to drive the business forward.
