Jani-King crowned 'Official Cleaning Company' for St. Patrick's Day celebrations in Savannah

As St. Patrick's Day quickly approaches, Jani-King of Savannah is preparing for the city's largest annual celebration and what is expected to be the largest St. Patrick's Day celebration in the United States.

Savannah, Georgia will attract an estimated 1,000,000 visitors and local celebrators this coming weekend. This event has been compared in the past to a Mardi Gras celebration and is extremely popular with the local residents of Savannah as well as visitors from outside the state.

Jani-King of Savannah has been named the 'Official Cleaning Company' of the St. Patrick's Day celebration. Its role will be to continuously monitor and provide cleaning services and support throughout each day and night of the festival. Jani-King franchisees and their crews will work from 08.00 tomorrow, Friday 16th March through to the following morning. Their final event cleaning maintenance is scheduled for 03.00 Sunday morning which will include a complete sweep of the ever-popular River Street, the main area where the festivities are held.

"Our goal is to provide continuous cleaning and support to make sure that the festival is clean and safe for attendees," says Greg Lard, Master Franchise Owner of Jani-King Savannah. "This is an annual event but this is the first time Jani-King of Savannah has been given the opportunity to provide its event cleaning services as the Official Cleaning Company."

Savannah, Georgia has a long history in celebrating St. Patrick's Day. It was first celebrated in 1813, when a local group performed a private gathering. The popular St. Patrick's Day parade and Irish themed events now attract visitors from all over the country and world! The majority of the visitors visit Savannah for the entire St. Patrick's Day weekend and some even stay a few days before or after so they can participate in as many celebrations as possible.

In addition to the St. Patrick's Day parade, some of the other events that are planned for the celebration include the annual Greening of the Fountain in Forsyth Park, the Tara Feis Irish Celebration, the River Street and City Market celebrations, and many more. This event also contains many sanctioned family-friendly events that are scheduled to take place before the parade to attract all ages to the festivities.
