Hi Jan,

As announced at the 2011 British Toilet Association AGM, I will be retiring from the position of Director of BTA at the end of the current financial year, 31st March 2012 and Raymond Martin, a long standing Management Committee Member of the BTA, will be my successor as BTA Director.

It was becoming increasingly difficult to maximise the potential of the BTA and Loo of The Year Awards (of which I am Managing Director) with decreasing budgets and minimal staffing. I will in future therefore focus my energies towards developing the Loo of The Year Awards.

With effect from 1st April 2012, I will become Chairman of BTA and Richard Chisnell, previously BTA Chairman, will become Vice President. Sir William Lawrence will remain as BTA Honorary President.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the past four years as Director of the BTA. Thank you for your personal loyal support through this period. The BTA continues to succeed, despite the current severe financial trading conditions, because of the relationships it has with its sponsors, members, suppliers and the media. I know that Raymond will continue this tradition.
