CK Group to launch new OxyPharm disinfection at AHCP event

Healthcare cleaning specialist CK Group will be launching its latest product for infection control during the Association of Healthcare Professionals (AHCP) annual Conference held from 11-13th June at Telford International Exhibition & Conference Centre.

The OxyPharm System is an effective whole area bio-disinfection solution for wards, operating theatres and intensive care rooms. Based upon hydrogen peroxide, the OxyPharm concept is based on the twin action of a diffusion appliance and a disinfection product which is emitted as a dry fog. All surfaces, including ceiling, walls, light fittings, fans, room furniture, fabrics and electronics are thoroughly disinfected, along with the air.

Using as little as 1ml of chemical per 1m3 of room space, the OxyPharm system requires just 3 minutes treatment time for a 50m3 room and from 30 additional minutes contact time prior to the room being safe and ready to enter.

OxyPharm works by changing the polarity of the bacterial membrane leading to their self destruction. Because the disinfectant targets the irreversible change in membrane permeability, and not at the organism itself, there is no opportunity for the organism to build up a chemical resistance - of prime importance in the healthcare sector.

The chemical is formulated from biodegradable ingredients that break down into simple molecules of water and oxygen, and, with very little active ingredient, there is absolutely no risk of damage to surfaces or equipment.

This thorough approach to Deep Cleaning ensures that all bacteria, viruses, fungi and spores are completely destroyed within the area so treated.
