No compromise on cleanliness, says poll

* James-Blackhurst.jpgMaking sure premises are clean and safe is a priority for the public sector despite current cutbacks, says a new opinion poll.

The online survey by healthcare cleaning industry blog site www.cleanleanhealthcare.org concluded that cleanliness and safety is the most pressing issue for public sector institutions, with 40% of the vote.

This was followed by delivering efficient services at all cost (30%), balancing resources and cleanliness (20%) and balancing budgets (10%).

The poll asked: What is the most important issue for the public sector in the current climate?

James Blackhurst, managing director of Jigsaw Cleaning Systems who ran the survey says: “Public sector organisations are facing difficult times with stringent budget cuts, whilst still having to maintain standards in cleanliness and safety.

“Without compromising either the cleanliness of buildings or the safety of those people who use them, there are methods which can be employed now which can ensure higher levels than previously possible with time saving efficiencies.

“The methods applied, the use of new cleaning liquids and reductions in the need to use so much water all add up to efficient, safe cleaning. By using this approach, there are also benefits for staff all along the way, with reductions in accidents, especially slips, trips and falls.”

Jigsaw Cleaning Systems is a national distributor of products from Wetrok and Filmop, serving the public and private sectors with a range of cleaning products throughout the UK. Jigsaw has relationships with a number of further distributors throughout the UK.
