In-house BICSc accreditation starts for Regent staff

* Regent-Samsic.jpgThe newly-launched Training Academy at Regent Samsic's Coventry headquarters is now accrediting certification to the British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICSc) to staff members.

Regent Cleaning contract manager Manuel Costa (centre) received his BICSc Certificate from HR Director/Quality & Environmental Manager Bozena Wojciechowska, and training & HR support officer Mark Mahoney last month.

The new Academy is equipped with different types of floor surfaces, hard and soft, upholstery and all the equipment necessary to deliver certified training in over 40 different tasks to BICSc standards.

"Training is fundamental to the success of any contract and we aim to ensure that all members of staff have the appropriate knowledge, skills and experience necessary to perform their work to a high standard," says Bozena. "All contract managers like Manuel will have usually been trained to BICSc Level 1.

"We provide formal management and supervisory training as well as technical skills training for all its operatives.

"All cleaning staff are trained in the use of equipment materials and cleaning techniques, as well as safe working practices."
