Nicely packaged support at Cafe Culture that was full of beans

* Donovan-Bros_stand_and_flyer.jpgCleaning chemicals manufacturer Greyland recently supported Donovan Bros, one of its catering industry distributors, when they exhibited at Cafe Culture, part of Hotelympia in London.

Established over 70 years ago by five brothers as a packaging supplier to caterers, Donovans today is a £7m turnover multi-interest business, and although operating within a modern management structure, very much remains a family-focused business, with two of the surviving brothers still making daily appearances at the firm's Sidcup, Kent offices.

As is so often the case with trade consumables suppliers, other products have been added to the range over the years, and eventually the comprehensive offering that is in place today came to include cleaning and hygiene supplies alongside the bags, containers and other disposables that the company is perhaps best known for.

Although Donovans already had an existing chemicals supplier, during their recent planned growth activities they acquired another company, which just happened to be a Greyland brand customer.

And as they say, 'the rest is history.'

For the larger new accounts that Donovans won in recent times necessitated a larger cleaning chemicals manufacturer, one able to provide a fully-fledged technical support and training package.

According to Managing Director Les Dolling, "Greyland were very responsive and fully understanding of our requirements for these larger customers."

With a customer base consisting mostly of city centre takeaway businesses, sandwich bars, restaurant chains, and delicatessens, alongside larger customers such as hotels, coffee prerequisites always feature strongly in the company's product range, and so when the company attended the Cafe Culture sector of Hotelympia, Greyland sprang into full-blown 'help mode.'

As well as having their Greyland representative Roger Davies help man the stand full time, they were also of great assistance in creating a printed flyer for the show.

The combined effort was a great success, and both companies look forward to future collaborations.
