Major slips & trips research project to be launched at upcoming conference

The British Cleaning Council has announced that a major slips and trips guidance will be unveiled at its 2012 annual conference, taking place at Coin Street Conference Centre on London's South Bank on 23rd October.

The slips and trips research, funded by the Cleaning & Support Services Association and the BCC, aims to be the definitive guide on best practice in floor cleaning for commercial cleaning businesses, helping to reduce accidents and improve safety in the workplace. All delegates attending the conference will be provided with a hard-copy guide of the research and will have an opportunity to ask the project managers questions about their methodology.

The slips and trips session will feature alongside broadcaster, businessman and distinguished journalist Andrew Neil, who will be sharing experiences from his media career during a keynote address. Neil will be joined by former Greggs Boss, Sir Michael Darrington, who will be speaking about his role in building a successful socially responsible business over the past 25 years.

In other developments, the BCC has added Advanced Mobile Communications as the latest sponsorship partner for the event. AMC is one of the UK's fastest growing corporate mobile specialists, providing bespoke voice and data airtime packages to all organisations with staff operating in the field. AMC will be exhibiting alongside Kimberly-Clark Professional, Selden Research, The Hygiene Company, Diversey, C & M Magazine, South Thames College, Vitec Global and Norse.

In three successful years, the BCC annual conference has established itself as one of the UK cleaning sector's most high-profile events, offering creative solutions and commercial strategies for the industry. The previous two events have sold out, with more than 200 senior executives convening each year to discuss, debate and disseminate the latest economic trends and managerial thinking within the sector.

Early bird tickets for the Conference 2012, priced at just £99 plus VAT, are available until the end of August from the British Cleaning Council's website.
