KD masters Prochem's Sapphire

Prochem Europe has extended its reach into the truck mounted extraction cleaning market with a successful sell-in of the Sapphire Scientific range.

A typical advocate for investing in Sapphire Scientific truck mounted carpet cleaning is Keith Dugard of KD Contracts in Dover. He has bought a Sapphire Scientific 370SS from the series' exclusive distributor Prochem Europe for his new Renault Master van.

"My van was getting older and like my previous truckmount, was having a few major problems, so my overall investment was relatively significant. But the vehicle and Sapphire are a perfect fit," he says.

Founded in 1980, as a general contract cleaning company, KD Contracts switched full-time to residential cleaning 15 years ago - "more profitable and better appreciated," Keith sums up.

The company specialises in cleaning carpet, upholstery, Oriental and area rugs, curtains and other soft furnishings.

Two years ago, Keith qualified with the IICRC to clean and seal marble, stone, tile and grout, so in addition to looking after textiles, he is able maintain or restore hard flooring, also.

Keith had a team working with him but is back to working solo, which he prefers for the added flexibility and simpler logistics and he travels from his Dover base throughout Kent and into neighbouring Surrey.

Thanks to its innovative design, the Sapphire Scientific 370SS truck mounted carpet and upholstery cleaning system has combined tried and tested componentry with an ingenious use of space. Additional features include thermostatic temperature control allowing total temperature control up to 250 degrees F; easy-to-use ergonomic control panel with waste pump out switch; by-pass free operation saving solution and waste tank space.

Add a two year warranty and full UK back-up with installation, service and training by a dedicated Prochem team calling on over 30 years' experience in truckmount supply, and the Sapphire Scientific 370SS comes down to making solid business sense for cleaners seeking more for less in a challenging market.
